meditative, and story heavy without having any dialog. almost more of an art piece than a game, although I came to enjoy the visual logic of the puzzles. because the animation has a slow, "meditative" pace, it can be frustrating as a puzzle game when you're stuck and need to rewatch the damn thing for everything you try. plus the "tutorial" is also nonverbal, be patient when the game starts. but it was a unique, beautiful game with impressive depth for a wordless story, still 5/5

I 100% love this game. The format takes a little getting used to. But, once you do, it is so engaging and beautiful. I play a lot of escape room and puzzle adventure games. This is by far one of the best. It's really more of an interactive story than a game. I played through once, and it took me a few days with a few stumpers. I loved it so much that I played through again immediately. The second time only took a few hours. I really don't understand the poor reviews.

Gorogoa is a fresh take on interactive puzzle games. I was thrilled to get to teach myself how to interact with this world and it was a very rewarding process to progress. The story itself has a decent pace too. If you take a break between gaming sessions, you might have to solve a short section again but it doubles as a refresher as to what was going on. The sale got me, idk if you'll find it worth full price though. Regardless, you will have to think outside the box to get through this one!
